III. TOWER SOCIETY
: THE UTOPIAN DISTORTION
Humanity entrusts its consciousness to the Tower, enjoying a life in the provided metaverse under optimal management. There is no life-threatening danger or poverty; anyone can enjoy their life, provided they commit no crime.
1. The Shackles of Efficiency
To maximize energy efficiency and prevent the physical body from creating noise in the metaverse, all humans have abandoned their bodies, with only their brains being housed in "Brain Cubes." High-density computing technology has miniaturized the Brain Cubes, enabling the containment of an estimated 120 million brains at ultra-high density within the Tower.
2. The Dry Family Unit
& Generational Shift
Children's brains are connected to the metaverse from birth. Child-rearing is conducted via avatars, and familial affection moves closer to a "sense of duty or data-driven relationship." For resource management purposes,when a child reaches the age of 20, family ties are forcibly severed and the child is relocated to another tower. The parents' future path remains optional.
3. The Apathy Syndrome
(The Tower's Sickness)
This "perfectly managed environment" has resulted in a distortion: it has robbed people of "purpose and the will to resist." Those who seek the "peace of following orders" fail to find goals to pursue and gradually become apathetic, eventually losing their "consciousness wavelength (Soul Current)." Though "Social Service Obligations" are imposed to maintain the Tower, this growing apathy is the most severe pathology plaguing the Tower society.
III. タワー社会
人類は自らの意識をタワーに託し、最高水準で提供されるメタバースで暮らしている。
1. 省エネという束縛
：ユートピアの歪み
オーバーテクノロジーが生成するエネルギーも無限ではない。省エネのため、肉体がメタバース内で発生させるノイズを防ぐため、全人類は肉体を放棄し、脳のみが「ブレイン・キューブ」に収容されている。ブレイン・キューブは、高密度コンピューティング技術により限界まで小型化され、タワーには推定1億2千万の脳が超高密度で収容されている。
2. ドライな家族関係と世代交代
子どもの脳は、出生時からメタバースに繋がれる。子育てもメタバース内で行われ、その家族愛は基本的に「義務化されタスク化」されたプログラムを基礎とする。資源管理のため、子どもが20歳になると家族関係は強制的に解除され、子は別のタワーに強制移住となる。夫婦の進路は選択可能。
